Floater Frames: Frame Your Painting

If I offer frames, you know they have to pass the vibe check - and these hand-built, solid-wood frames do exactly that.

Made in America by a small custom frame builder, each frame is built to order. These are float frames that are intended for stretched canvas paintings that are 1.5" deep, and they feature a gap (or "float") between the edges of the artwork and the frame. They're a beautiful way to elevate the look of your artwork.

I offer them in four styles: Douglas Fir, Maple, White and Black.

• Douglas Fir: Douglas fir is my favorite, due to the grain patterns and warm color. If you see a painting on my website with a frame on it already, that frame is Douglas fir. It's my standard.
• Maple: This option is great if you want natural wood with minimal grain and a very light neutral color.
• Black and White: These options are solid wood (we don't do composite around here!), and are painted Douglas fir.

You can order a frame as an add-on to a painting purchase and I'll install before shipping. Or if you want a frame for a canvas you already own, we can handle that too!

Here are some good things to know about these frames:

1. If you purchase a painting that already has a Douglas Fir frame, but would like to replace it with a different color frame, I'll happily make that switch for you for no cost. Just purchase the painting, then purchase the frame you'd like, and let me know in the order notes that it's a swap frame.
2. I only offer frames up to 36x36 and 40x30 because that's the largest size I can ship as a ready-to-hang piece. I ship pieces larger than this rolled - so no frame. If you are local, I can absolutely frame larger pieces for you that aren't going through the mail. Just email me and we'll get it sorted!
3. Frames are hand-built to order, and adding a frame to your artwork purchase will extend the shipping timeline by 2-3 weeks so your frame can be built, shipped to me, and installed.
