"Evening Hydrangeas" is a play on the colors and textures as they shift under the setting sun.
Part of my Reflections body of work, this piece is inspired by my own quiet hours spent with my hands in the dirt, growing things in my garden, wandering along shorelines, and watching the forest change as the light fades at dusk. I painted from the sensory memory of damp earth, moving grasses, and those fleeting moments where nature seems to accept you as part of it. The collection holds that feeling in layers of color, movement, and texture—untamed, intuitive, and deeply grounded in the real world. These pieces invite you to slow down, wander within them, and find your own meaning in the quiet power of the natural world.
