The Three Sisters - Lachesis | 18x18 Inches

"Lachesis" is a window to the relationship between water, earth and sky, and the circle of life that happens between all three. Highly textured paint built on a unique, circular wood panel. The circular "Three Sisters" panels are named for the Greek Fates; Clotho who spins the thread of life, Lachesis who measures its length, and Atropos who cuts it.

Part of my Nature's Spell collection within my Reflections body of work, this piece is inspired by my own quiet hours spent with my hands in the dirt, growing things in my garden, wandering along shorelines, and watching the forest change as the light fades at dusk. I painted from the sensory memory of damp earth, moving grasses, and those fleeting moments where nature seems to accept you as part of it. The collection holds that feeling in layers of color, movement, and texture—untamed, intuitive, and deeply grounded in the real world. These pieces invite you to slow down, wander within them, and find your own meaning in the quiet power of the natural world.
